What’s your background?

I am an international student from Taiwan and I received my BSc in U of T. I studied Molecular Genetics and Microbiology and Cells and System Biology for my undergraduate degree.

Why science?

I enjoy thinking and solving problems. In science, there are tons of unanswered questions and I can spend as much time on thinking as I wish.

Do you have any advice for someone interested in a career in research?

Find an area of research that you are interested in and contact labs that are doing research in that field. Try volunteering in a lab and see if it is really what you are passionate about. Also, talk to people (professors or TA's) that are in research field.

What do you like to do for leisure?

I enjoy baking and I can make really good scones. I also like playing board games and watch movies.

Any song or book recommendations?
