Why science?
Every aspect of your work becomes an exciting new piece of the puzzle that we are all trying to figure out. With each new piece comes an opportunity to connect to such a large community of people through an endless amount of areas. And each day, the work you do is contributing to a body of knowledge larger than yourself, and that is awesome.
Do you have any advice for someone interested in a career in research?
Before all else, find the area that you are passionate about. Realize that even if you may think that one field is vastly different from another, they are all connected in some way. Then embrace your work with an open mind and enjoy the journey the data takes you on.

What do you like to do for leisure?
I love listening to and playing music to keep myself busy. Besides that, a good movie is always an option.

Any song or book recommendations?
"Cold Little Heart" by Michael Kiwanuka

If someone were to make a movie about your life, what would the title be?
The Big Lebowski
